I have a building of historical significance that I would like to renovate. I need to make it functional, and would like to do so without disturbing its integrity. Is this a project your company is capable of executing?
Yes. We understand the sensitivity and special precautions necessary when a project of this nature is undertaken. We have the skills and knowledge to work with structures that have existed prior to modern building practices. With a number of specialty material suppliers, as well as historical design and time period consultants, you can be certain your project will be completed with special attention and authenticity.
Are you aware of the advantages to having a new construction project LEED certified? Also, can a project be "green" without certification?
Bruce Construction LLC has collaborated on green building projects that have and have not been LEED certified. LEED certification is a metric created by the United States Green Building Council. LEED creates an industry standard that demonstrates the levels of efficiency and sustainable design the project owner has executed. These buildings cost less to operate and maintain, are energy- and water-efficient, and are known to have higher lease-up rates than conventional buildings in their markets. LEED certification is used to guide the project in order to achieve these stellar levels of performance. It is important to understand that certification is a direct physical demonstration of the values of the organizations that own and occupy them.
Bruce Construction LLC has built sustainable practices into everyday operations and executions. We try to utilize low-impact products and procedures that foster a stewardship with the environment and well-being of others. This ideology can be applied to any project, even if it is not LEED certified.
